What is the Greenlight program?
The Greenlight program is designed to increase the quality of projects produced at the Colorado Film School. There are two parts to the program.
The first part is an online judging/feedback system.
The second part of the program (under development) is a repository of approved scripts.
How does the judging work?
STEP 1 - Students upload their scripts. This may be on their own or at the request of an instructor. Participating faculty are notified by e-mail that a new script is available for judging. The script's status is set to PENDING.
STEP 2 - Faculty download, read, and rate the script based on established criteria. They may also add comments. The judging criteria is based on the CFS Criteria for Assessment of Student Work, sections F and G.
STEP 3 - Once an instructor has judged the script, its status will change to either ADVISED, APPROVED, or NOT APPROVED based on the average rating and whether the student was looking for advice or approval. The student will be notified of the result by e-mail.
How does the repository work?
(Under Development) Approved scripts are uploaded to the Greenlight repository by students who write good scripts, but don't intend to produce them. These scripts are then available to other students looking for projects.
