Sound Lab
The sound lab is used for teaching sound classes and is available for students to do post-production sound work on individual and class projects.
Three workstations are set up in the classroom for post-production audio work.
STATION A Mac G4 866 Pro Tools TDM 24 card Digidesign video slave driver and 888 Tascam DA88 Fostex TC DAT deck Pansonic O1V mixer w/ digital card to the DA88 dedicated Sony UVW 1600 Beta SP deck Access to sound effects library through server.
Station A is capable of building a full feature film sound track - 80 tracks deep.
STATION B G4 dual 533 1 GB RAM Pro Tools Digi 001 card and breakout box Panasonic 01V mixer M-Audio monitors Access to sound effects library through server.
STATION C G4 dual 533 1 GB RAM Pro Tools Digi 001 card and breakout box Mackie mixer M-Audio monitors Access to sound effects library through server.
FOLEY WORK Four Foley boxes allow students to practice Foley work (post-production sound creation captured real-time, in synch with footage from the film).
