DENVER SCHOOL OF THE ARTS

Video Cinema Arts - The VCA mission is the education of our students in the art, craft, and technology of film, video and animation. The program offers intensive hands-on production experience. We nurture individual talent and skills, and encourage students to become creative and thoughtful practitioners in the world of media.

 

DEPRODUCTION CLASSES

Deproduction and Denver Open Media currently offers certification classes in field production, editing and studio production. Cost for certification classes is just $100 for members, $120 for non-members. Once certified, DOM members have FREE access to cameras, lighting kits, audio equipment and studio space. You can make your own show and we will broadcast it on our channels (Comcast channels 57, 58, 59).

I am the composer/sound designer/owner of Night Sky. I have been creating custom original music and sound design for movies, episodic television, documentaries, and radio drama for over 20 years. KEN BALDWIN (Student Friendly)

Ken Baldwin has donated a CD of original acoustic music to the Colorado Film School. The CD is available in the CFS cage. Students are welcome to use any of the tracks for their films. THE THEME TEAM (Student Friendly)

For a limited time period only, British media music specialists, The Theme Team, are offering students of film and television the opportunity to commission a free complimentary music score for their productions. All we ask is that our name and contact information are clearly displayed in the closing titles. Those wishing to benefit from this scheme must be able to prove that they have, or are currently undertaking an accredited course of study in media/film production. All music would be delivered via an MP3 download. CD copies will be made available however the cost of this plus postage and packaging would have to be incurred by the student.

 

UCD AUDIO CLUB

The UCD Audio Production for Film and Video Club is a way for recording artists and film, video, and animation students to network with each other to collaborate on projects. Film school students can benefit from learning good audio practices from students who are dedicated to the best sound, and recording arts students can benefit from working with superb and innovative video from film, video, and animation students for their Audio Sweetening and Surround Sound classes.
